The Chineese could nuke us, or maybe they are not able, but nukes are the only way China could ever think of defeating us. The problem they would have lies in geography and ethos. We are too large to effectively occupy and there would be great resistance. Although I know this will reveive no rave reviews here, it would be the 2nd amendment people who would be providing the reisistance. Think what you will about them but the gun nuts are indeed lovers of the USA and they are the ones who would provide an effective means of resisting an invading army (in the absense of our own armed forces).

29. I think the OP was getting at that Pearl Harbor was not an

invasion of the US. It was a bombing attack. The last invasions of the U.S. were probably the British in the War of 1812, burning the Capitol Building etc. D-Day was our invasion of occupied Europe.
