As our great leader keeps touting, the deaths of 2027 (http://icasualties.org/oif/) were sacrifices "made in a noble cause." How exactly is he defining "nobel" - or even "cause" for that matter?

6. you misheard him
He was saying "no bell" cause.
One of his pet peeves is ringing bells, even from a church steeple.
That is why our troops have orders to raze certain towns, including their mosques.

13. but Bush doesn't know that.
He probably thinks the speakers used to let the believers know when to pray are air raid sirens.

14. good point
not to mention he probably views any mosque, not as a house of worship, but as a "terrorist training facility"....

:argh:

17. my first mosque was in istanbul many many years ago.
the guy who showed me around was incredibly friendly and informative. A real education.
he had an obvious love and devotion for his version of god, yet he had a complete willingness to talk about any subject. Enlightened would be a good term of description.
being a nonbeliever, he still was totally respectful, as though the Koran's verses about treating your guests with honor really meant something.

11. There is no Noble Cause
They are dying so that King George can look like a man to his mommy, they are dying so that Iraqis can have freedom and democracy, they are dying so that Halliburton can fill its coffers with taxpayer dollars.

In other words they are dying for nothing, and while they sacrifice in the desert, here back at home the Congress along with the White House is doing everything they can to deny freedom and democracy to
Americans.

So the real question should be, "Why are American troops dying, to
take away freedom and democracy from their fellow Americans?"
