James Carville On Imus: Fitz To Subpoena Top NYTimes Reporters!
Holy Shiite! Fitzgerald wants Rove's balls on a silver platter:

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/8/8/113805.shtml

Former Clinton attack dog James Carville predicted Monday that Leakgate Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald will be "coming after more people at the New York Times" - in addition Times reporter Judy Miller, who is in her sixth week behind bars for refusing to divulge her sources.

Calling Fitzgerald "relentless," the Clintonista-turned-CNN commentator told radio host Don Imus: "My sense is he's coming after more people at the New York Times. He's going subpoena Bill Keller and all of them and ask them what Judy Miller told them. And if they don't talk he's going to stick them in jail."

Keller is the Times executive editor.
Carville said there was "heavy, heavy speculation out there" that Miller was being used by the White House to "disseminate this" - an apparent reference to CIA employee Valerie Plame's name.

"There are all sorts of rumors and I hear second hand that was screaming out in the news room about this."

The Times, said Carville, "to some extent is going to have to come clean. Because they're going to have to tell us what Judy Miller knew, when she knew it and who she told."

"And there's a lot of people at the Times - and I know this to be a fact - who believe that," he insisted.

"It's going to be very interesting to see," Carville mused, "whether problem is a first amendment - i.e., I want to protect a source - or a fifth amendment - I was out spreading this stuff too."

1. This has the ring of truth to me, and there's been speculation...
from elsewhere, I think, that some at the NYT are not happy with the support Miller is getting. It sounds like this may hit the fan.

2. Fitz Is Kicking Ass and Taking Names
Seriousl crimes have been committed and judges have given him the go ahead to jail reporters for not cooperating in prosecuting serious and treasonous conduct by the admin AND members of the "press".

3. Editor and Publisher has an article about it. That maybe Sulzberger and
Keller knew more than they've said. Ariana suggested that both maybe know what Miller knew about her "source."

I still worry about Carville. With Mary Matalin involved in the WHIG group what's his interest in this? How come he's out there talking about now?

Is he part of disinformation, or was the WHIG (WH Iraq Group) not involved in this.

9. Keller is in kahoots with Miller. That's why her name wasn't mentioned..
in the big retraction article he did in the NYT. They cited six articles and FOUR were written by her and she was not singled out at any point.

12. Who knows
I didn't know he was apart of the group. What found it strange to me is he's a former Clinton attack dog and he's speaking about this. That's why I'm just playing the old "wait and see" game.

This may be one of the many possible focuses of this investigation.

13. Interesting speculation... but that's it. Speculation.
Carville looks into the political crystal ball better than a lot of people, but that's still all this is. He's not citing sources on Fitzgerald's prosecution team or anything like that.

Just tryin' to keep it real :)

16. Fitz may only need corroboration that Libby leaked to Miller to clinch it
Fitz has good reason to be relentless after struggling so long with WH and Miller stonewalling and delaying the investigation for so many months. It's possible he may only need corroboration that Libby lied and leaked to Miller and not the other way around to clinch the case.

18. And Newsmax readers will still never get it thru their skulls that NYT and
Miller have been working WITH the White House to push war and promote Rove propaganda.

NYT pretends to be a liberal paper every now and then because it makes for better camouflage.
