Strategy for White House correspondent questions.
Edited on Thu Aug-04-05 12:29 PM by gulliver
Formulate your questions when Bush is not having press conferences. Then ask the question when Bush is having a press conference. That way Bush won't just wait for a quiet (or good) news period to hold press conferences. The fact that he is not having press conferences means that there are great questions to be asked that Bush wants to avoid.

For example, Bush has not had a press conference since the Plame story hit. It would be a shame if the press let Bush wait until some big story hit the news to hold a press conference and then confined their questioning to the big story. The best questions are the ones Bush is avoiding.

1. Does that work with the press conference managers who pre-screen
...reporters who will b4e allowed to ask questions and also define what kinds of questions are off-limits?
