Someone just called in to the Mike Webb radio show and talked about this. So I looked it up. I guess W has now taken us into jihad. Sheesh.
http://www.answers.com/topic/jihad Apologies if this was already discussed.

We are in a struggle against extremists. Our poor troops. What a mind game he is playing on them.

6. Heard Randi talk about this today (& posted earlier)

struggle = jihad in Arabic
struggle = kampf in German; as in My Struggle = 'Mein Kamph'

So Commander Bunnypants' has gone from a "Crusade" to a Jihad in 'His Struggle' to take over the world.

As Rush sez, "Words mean things." :scared: :grr:

edit: since it's not a 'war' but a 'struggle,' then there's no war crimes, right? Struggles are hard work, but they aren't wars. Struggles last for a long time, and cost lots and lots of money, but they aren't nasty wars. Besides 'struggle' polls better than 'war.'

How about the "Struggle on Drugs"?

9. Politically, the only thing that keeps me going is that
Bush is one day closer to getting out of office and taking his country club elitists with him.

13. But nobody at the Hague will respect...
the war in Iraq as a "struggle". At best for Bush, that was a war within a struggle. An illegal naked war of aggression within a struggle. An illegal naked war of aggression that turned out to have nothing to do with that struggle.

Man, even if Bush isn't brought down for all this, history will fry his arse.

12. From Wikipedia
...His Nazi publisher, Max Amann, decided this title was too complicated and had it shortened to Mein Kampf (simply "My Struggle", or "My Battle").
