Ben Stein gives a sick commentary on Rove............
I was sitting down to watch cbs and face the nation. I caught the last 10 minutes of cbs sunday morning and they had a commentary on Rove. Ben Stein said all the democrats are against you Mr Bush and you should back Rove up at all costs. Mr Stein even went on comparing Nixon to Bush saying dont forget your friends like Rove. It was disgusting, Was anyone else offended like me, I couldn't believe it.

then he went on comparing Treasongate/Rovegate to Watergate...and hopefully tying it together forever in the minds of the idiots who take BenStein bs seriously.

14. Here's my letter to CBS. Let me know what you think
Dear Editor, I've long ago stopped expecting anything that represents a "fair and balanced" view of serious issues from corporate-controlled "news" organizations such as yours, but today's outrageous opinion piece by Mr. Stein causes me to write. I realize that you identified his spot as "opinion" but I believe that you are doing your viewers a disservice by allowing him to present his unsubstantiated opinions without an opposing view by someone who feels that Karl Rove did do something wrong. I realize that you have a so-called "liberal" journalist on who presents her views from time to time but I do not think that she has ever done anything that sinks to the level to which Mr. Stein sunk this morning with your apparent blessings. It is increasingly obvious to many Americans, especially those who are not mesmerized by the irresponsible and incomplete reporting by "infotainment" organizations such as yours, that Karl Rove did do something wrong and that he and Lewis Libby are currently being investigated for perjury and obstruction of justice for their part in the outing of Valerie Plame. For you to offer Mr. Stein an opportunity to manipulate public opinion wiith his obviously slanted "opinions" in a matter that may rise to the level of TREASON is grossly irresponsible on your part. As I stated earlier, I don't expect much out of you or the other corporate media, but your continued insistence on catering to people's ignorance gives me further inspiration to share your shabby practices with others. May your ratings follow as your level of decency continues to plummet.

He's completely partisan, without any critical thought when it comes to the Republican Party.

And a pretty sorry game show host as well.

I made my sweet little old dog wait for her walk for him, too. They'd announced an "insight" into Karl Rove by a White House insider - so I made her wait through the commercial. When my 15 year old dog has to hold her bladder for that, it really annoys me. Don't think she was happy, either! :hurts:

28. I never could stand Been Swine!
Been Swine can stick his money, where the sun don't shine! We know where the sickening fool stands now! I knew he was a GOPer, but I thought he might care a little bit about the USA! All he's worried about is Been Swine's Money! The Reich Wankers will be swearing the Bushler Oath any day now! As they lockstep off into the sunset!

The Oath to Adolf Dumbya Bushler

*********************************

Speech by Rudolf Hess on 25 February 1934

German men, German women, German boys, German girls, over a million of you are gathered in many places in all of Germany!

On this the anniversary of the proclamation of the party's program, you will together swear an oath of loyalty and obedience to Adolf Hitler. You will display to the world what has long been obvious to you, and what you have expressed in past years, often unconsciously.

You are swearing your oath on a holiday that Germany celebrates for the first time: Heroes' Memorial Day. We lower our flags in remembrance of those who lived as heroes, and who died as heroes. We lower the flags before the giants of our past, before those who fought for Germany, before the millions who fought in the World War, before those who died preparing the way for the new Reich. I name Horst Wessel because he has become a symbol for us, and remember through him all those "shot by the Red Front and Reaction."

Woe to the people that fails to honor its heroes! It will cease producing them, cease knowing them. Heroes spring from the essence of their people. A people without heroes is a people without leaders, for only a heroic leader is a true leader able to withstand the challenge of difficult times. The rise or fall of a people can be determined by the presence or absence of a leader. MORE...

The Fuehrer Oath

In taking the Fuehrer Oath, the German Army swears allegiance not to the Republic, not to the flag, not to the constitution, and not even to the office of the head of state, but to Adolf Hitler personally who has now attained absolute power over the German people.

The table below displays the oath of allegiance prior to Hindenburg's death and how it read after its key words were altered on August 2, 1934. MORE...

SS Oath :
I swear to you, Adolf Hitler, as Fuehrer and Reichs Chancellor, loyalty, and bravery. I vow to you, and to those you have named to command me, obedience unto death, so help me God.

Hitler youth Jungvolk Oath :
In the presence of this blood banner, which represents our Führer, I swear to devote all my energies and my strength to the savior of our country, Adolf Hitler. I am willing and ready to give up my life for him, so help me God

Read how he handled President Clinton's hand written note of condolences when his sister died in 2000

http://www.bartcop.com/0227.htm

What is really sad is that Ben Stein spoke about how President Clinton had also written a nice note and sent a contingent from the white house when his father died in 1999. Much more than the Republicans did.

"My father died eight days ago, last Wednesday. My father was a famous man, and a great man. There were huge obituaries about him in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, which rarely has obituaries, and the New York Times, and at his funeral, President Clinton sent Larry Summers, Secretary of the Treasury, and Gene Sperling, the head of the Economic Policy Council, to the funeral, and sent along with them a personal letter from Bill and Hillary Clinton, telling me and my sister how much they respected my father even though he was a Republican, and how much they would miss his honest, above-party analysis of issues. And I think that was the classiest move I have ever seen in my life, and I don't think I will ever say another critical word about him. I am so humbled by what a classy gesture that was, I can't get quite get it out of my head. I was quite literally moved to tears by it and still am - I carry the letter around with me everywhere I go I'm so, so moved by it"

34. I hope bush follows Stein's advice.
Keep stonewalling, hold on to your mistakes like they are oxygen, like they are your life's blood. The mistakes he clings to so desperately will cause more and bigger mistakes and I hope reich-wingers KEEP encouraging him to NEVER stop, hold on to rove so that rove takes down everyone around him, too.

That's when all those cretins in the bush administration will learn the true meaning of the phrase "watch how you treat people on the way up, they'll be the same people you see on the way down."

Yes, by all means, bush, FOLLOW STEIN'S ADVICE. Keep going the direction you are going. I can see the edge of the cliff now. Get a big fat rope and tie yourself to rove et al.

48. My response to CBS Sunday Morning RE: Stein
I am utterly appalled that Rand Morrison and the other producers of CBS Sunday Morning would allow Ben Stein's blasphemous attacks on Valerie Plame to continue despite evidence to the contrary. Ms Plame's role with the CIA has been established to be "S" for secret. Despite this information, CBS allowed Ben Stein to further the Bush Administration's propaganda by stating she held a desk job for the CIA. It is irresponsible to continue putting forward the lies.

My husband and I have enjoyed watching CBS Sunday morning for over 20 years. This tradition came to an end today by this episode of dishonesty allowed to be put forward. Shame on you! Delivering lies that support the administration despite evidence to the contrary makes CBS Sunday Morning complicit in the crimes. It has discredited your program beyond repair. I hope the day will come when you are held accountable for the lies you put forward to the public. Your actions must share responsibility in the human death toll caused by an immoral war predicated on the Bush Administration's false information.

Today you lost loyal viewers. More important, one of the few respectable programs on television lost credibility.

Someone had left a gym TV set to Fox News. So I got some nice economic analysis by 'Mr. Stein'.
He talked about your 'booming economy' and how when an economy booms like this under a Democrat like Clinton its heralded as great but under Bush it is smeared.

Yes he actually was trying to create a link and say 2005 = late 90s boom. What a joke.
