Concentrate On Roberts, Treasongate Isn't Going Anywhere

The day the indictments come out no headline on earth is going to protect the Bush Administration, so go ahead and concentrate your efforts on John Roberts.

I think we should keep pounding on the media to continue covering TREASONGATE. They'll cover the Roberts nomination anyway. But they won't keep covering TREASONGATE unless we demand it.

Why fight for months for a SCOTUS appointment which is already a "done deal"?

When the smoke finally clears, the Rove treason story is treated as old news. That's what the Rove/corporate media are hoping for.

Fitzgerald is paying no attention to that. Roberts can be on the bench for LIFE. No matter what the outcome, we must speak out. We can still keep Rove's feet to the fire. Face it, Roberts is not as confrontational as some on the short list, so the media storm will not be too heated. It will not distract from Rove, but we cannot lie down over this choice.

15. Yes, agree. There could be a break in the Libby-Rove-Cheney-Powell

scandal if Miller doesn't like jail or Fleisher goes on record or Powell or Armitage or Tenet or anyone else speaks out. We can always keep countering the lies.

However, the timing is right to explore the depths and breadths of risk from Roberts and work on our leaders, if necessary. He seems ultra, too hidden, and everyone says he has written little.

We need to find out what questions he'll answer.

Just because he had a modest background, academic awards, and a fine looking family.... we need to know everything; he is only 50 and way too quiet.
