just heard Mike Malloy's segment on Andy Stephenson on my podcast

I have to sadly confess that I didn't follow the story of Andy Stephenson closely on this board, I knew little only that he was a member here who needed treatment for cancer.

I learned a little later that there was some controversy over the raising of funds for his treatment, but failed to look anymore into it.

After listening to Mike Malloy talk about Andy I couldn't help but cry at what an atrocious ordeal this poor soul endured near the end of his life, and at the hand of the RIGHT WING!

I'm just incredibly angry and saddened that this is how far it has come. That people (if you can call them that) would extend the antagonism of their politics so far as to actively damage the chances of one person's fight against cancer.

I wonder how the MSM would react if liberals had actively tried to stonewall treatment for Lee Atwater's brain tumor as political revenge for year of humiliating the party.

I'm just seething right now, and I'm sorry that I didn't pay more attention to the plight of Andy until after he died. I wish I would have done more.

but I read the accounts of what happened in the few days after he died and I was shocked. I have to believe that karma will get the horrible people who made the end of Andy's life so difficult.

5. yeah I missed Malloy reading Beth's letter

but I will never ever ever ever forget the post he made just before his the postponement of his surgery. He said (I'm paraphrasing) "If I don't make it through just remember these four words. . . Voter Verified Paper Ballots."

So we must. Okay?

Listening to Malloy brought tears to my eyes again. I have a feeling a lot more tears will need to be shed. Andy was loved by thousands.

P.S. Think that asshole will e-mail Malloy and set a time and place? Neither do I.
