He read a quote from Mike Curry (Clinton press sec'y) in which he sympathized with McClellan about the barrage of questions he had been getting.
He slurred David Gregory's (without mentioning his name) comment, "You haven't answered anything!", along with other comments made by the reporters about Rove. Whenever he quoted the reporters, he said it mockingly, as though it were "just horrible" treatment of poor Scottie.
He was trying so hard to convey that Scottie had been so mistreated, & the kicker was when he asked if any of the networks apologized to him! (How dare this administration be questioned, let alone, held accountable!)
At the end of the press briefing, did you notice the big, broad smile Scottie gave to kiss-ass Les?

| 5. There wasn't a wink involved, |

but Scottie's glance toward Les lingered until he was sure Les saw his big, broad grin.
