Chasing Both Rabbits

The old saying goes, "If you chase two rabbits, they both get away."

But if SEVERAL THOUSAND people are chasing two rabbits, odds are those would be two very, very dead rabbits at the end of it.

And that's exactly what we have, just on DU alone. Granted, we're talking about a couple of HUGE fucking rabbits here -- but DUers have never not been up to the challenge. I don't know which is the more immediate concern, Roberts or Treasongate; there are good arguments for both sides. But we have the manpower, we have the resources, and most of all we have the WILL to chase and destroy both of those rabbits.

There may be those of us who, out of necessity, will continue focusing on one or the other -- those who are maintaining a dedicated website to Treasongate, for instance, or those whose day job is assistant director of Californian Patriots Against John Roberts. But must of us can indeed multitask on these issues.

If you haven't already, I STRONGLY urge you to join the DU Activist Corps. This is an excellent means of organization, and I believe the DU admins recognize the importance of both of these issues in themselves. Even if you don't join, hang around the DU Activism Forum and pay attention to the tasks as Skinner assigns them; you'll find that many if not most of them can be done even by a non-Corps member.

It's rabbit season. Let's bring these bastards down.
