This judge nominee

I've been out of town yesterday and Monday visiting my grandfather who's sick and didn't get to find out about the new nominee until today. I do think this is something that Bush just springed on us to a) take heat off of Karl Rove and b) get it over with so he doesn't have people in his party bickering back and forth over who should be the nominee. I was wondering if anybody had any information about where he stud on issues for me. Thanks.
