11. Don't be afraid. Saddam was a creep but he was a U.S. pal at

the time most of these crimes took place. The neocon policy of 'getting jiggy with strongmen' will come back to haunt the neocons.

And, more importantly, it may give the Iraqis a chance to experience something alltogether. The sooner they reach an understanding of their past - the sooner they will kick the U.S. out.

Saddam is not going anywhere without extracting a pound of flesh from those who were supporters of him at the time. the fight with an authentic battle plan. So the big news in the Saddam trials is it may make it harder for the Sunnis to say 'times were good' under Saddam. Because every single person in that country will have a narrative to speak about. So - if people take ownership of the shit they put up with under Saddam - perhaps they will have more 'in common'. Flush it out. Flush out as much as makes sense.
