32. $2.37 in Madison, WI
Hey, HTuttle! I'm from Madison also. :)

The other day I was watching my vacation DVD I made from 2003, and part of my movie was a brief shot of a gas station in Iowa and I saw that it was $1.47 for regular unleaded. That's two years ago, folks.

:wtf:

15. $2.53 in Southern Oregon
Medford Oregon, actually.

Way to much from a poor worker's perspective, but way too little from a pollution-concerned person's perspective.

I look forward to seeing bicycle sales skyrocket, but most of the local minimum wage workers and farmworkers need cars to get to work...we have a terrible public transportation service, even though the advocates work hard.

21. 2.25 here
nwmo north of Kansas city about an hour. I don't drive much, I've still got 1/2 a tank from June. My wife though, she has to drive everyday, she tries to not let her tank get to 1/2 so it doesn't cost as much.

30. I clearly remember the summer of 1999. Unheard of prices of 1.90
I believe it was due to the Chicago refinery blowing up.

People were screaming to attack the strategic reserves. Truckers were going out of business, summer trips were cut short. We were on the brink of revolution.

With prices going on 2.50 I would expect more Americans to rebel.

Personally, I'm still used to $4.00 European pricing. I'm the only one laughing at the pump these days.

:P
