So raw story is saying Bill Clinton is pushing Hillary for 2008
http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Did_Bill_throw_Hillarys_hat_intopresidential_ri_0717.html

Sorry, but this will be a disaster for the democrats, again...

It is time to free us from the DLC. They say they cater to the little people, but they are just as bad as the republican corporate love affair. The best example was the bankrupcy bill. Look at the democrats who voted for it

Except for a handful of Democratic Senators, most voted to give * the authority to go to war. THAT IS UNFORGIVABLE. For nothing else, it violated constitutional law, that Congress can only declare war

it is time for the people to decide

3. If you want that to happen...
...start getting involved in your local party apparati right now. The biggest problem with the nominee situation is the absolutely ridiculous primary system now that is so incredibly skewed towards candidates with large funds that it effectively silences all opposition. I would suggest if you are involved to promote Fair Vote's America Plan <http://www.fairvote.org/?page=965>

4. What if
Clinton sign a contract to deliver a surplus like he did before...
Man the US economy need saving and like it or not he done it before.

Bottomline whoever you choose need strong domestic policy to crawl out of the mess chimp make. Personally if she is tough enough and capable enough to get the job done why not hey.

5. If we run a woman for president
in 08, it should be someone like Boxer.

The third way is dead. Killed by the neocons, energy oligarchs, and fundie right. Long live the progressive Dems.

6. She's not going to run.. But think about it....
At some point, right before the '06 senate election, New Yorkers will ask her to commit to another full term.

Like Big Dog said himself recently, "it's Karl Rove's dream to get Hillary in that race"

They know what they're doing.. Give 'em some credit! ;) ;) ;)

2008 is not Hillary's year... we know this, I hope she does too.

7. Here's my prediction of how the consoviets will play it...
Immediately, the Machine will portray her as a flip-flopping liar by endlessly rebroadcasting her appearance on Meet The Shill, sometime last year, when Russert kept badgering Hillary on whether she intended to seek the presidency, and she pretty much was adamant about not desiring the position (refresh my memory, those with a better recollection of the exchange). That'll become the appetizer talking point and then it would get worse. Of course, it has no substance or relevance but we all know that's never been the point with these goons.

9. It's as if we have no choice

They are setting her up as the inevitable and she is a compromised candidate in so many ways.

What a squandered opportunity to confront Bush and his gang of thugs straight on. If only the Clintons would bow out and get the hell off the stage and out of the spotlight, the party, and for that matter, the country, would have a fighting chance for a new day.

..and for those who pooh-pooh her campaign mode, why is the senator from NY stomping in Philly today?

10. Bill is a very smart man...Hillary is our BEST choice in 2008
IMO she is the only one that can effectively stand up to the RW attack machine. She is smart, competent, and is married to the best political mind the Democratic Party has produced in 30 years...

I'll take my chances with Hillary!!!

17. No mention of Hillary in that article...
But I suppose you are referring to Hillary's position that American troops should not be withdrawn. That is a position I agree with, and I suspect is the majority position in the country. I am confident enough in her abilities that though I disagree with her vote to enter the war in the first place, I believe she will be able to marshal world support to get us out of there sooner rather than later.

Right now it's about competence and compassion...which I think she has in abundance!

12. I have only seen conservative pundits and church people talk about
Hilliary in 08. It is almost like they want to pick our candidate for us. Myself, I have not seen much legitimate democratic interest.

13. You have a pretty wierd definition of handful
22 Democratic Senators, out of 50, opposed the war. Most definitions of handful that I have encountered limit it to 5 or 6.

14. Well, that cloud has a nice Green lining.
She'd make a great poster girl for voting Green. Which I would certainly do if the Democrats are dumb enough to nominate another DLC(R) candidate.

about Hillary possibly running or Bill pushing her. It sounds like he wants to be a back door president this time with Hillary out in front. I liked the Clinton's, but scandal followed them wherever they went and it is just time to move along.
