Perplexed by Bush's Travel Plans

Can someone explain the rationale for all this sudden burst in travel plans for the chimp: the Philipines, Australia, and now England?? At a time when they know that wherever they go security is going to be awful and Bush will probably be greeted with protests? It's not as if the Bush entourage is going to get much sightseeing done at their stops? So why this junketing at tax payer expense? What the hell is going on in the minds of the people in the white house?

I was just listening to Lou Dobbs last night (HB-1 visa report) and he mentioned that Poppy had done this same tour at the same time when his ratings were plummeting. I wonder if Bush will throw up on somebody too.

6. It's been a tradition in past presidencies

that whenever they screw up in a big way, and are getting blasted in the media (well compared to the past worship, they are at least questioning Smirk), that they all go on these long junkets out of the country to make them look important and to allow them to avoid all the negative press.

It's hoped that pictures from abroad of royal receptions will rehabilitate them in the eyes of voters: :eyes:

The more time he spends out of this country means that much less he can spend on his fund raisers at the taxpayer's expense. Besides, It's not like McSmirk will get another country to share the bill for the occupation of Iraq.

Pictures of Shrub and Queenie will go over really big among conservatives in this country, most of whom have "crown envy."

Security isn't a big deal to Shrub's handlers because if something happens to him Cheney and Halliburton get to rule the country — if not the world. This is like Pinky and the Brain on a scale we never dreamt of.
