1. Faux-Gravitas!
Neither of those words was much in circulation a few years ago. Now we not only have gravitas, we have faux-gravitas.

It's obvious now that both of these guys are putting on an act. In Powell's speech before the United Nations he pretended to have a "compelling" case for war against Iraq. But there was no case at all, it was lies.

Cheney's behavioral repertoire is limited. I suspect he acts the same way at parties, he can't help himself. Has anyone ever seen him act differently?

2. At a party Cheney is the guy
off by himself in a corner gulping down scotch and snarling at anyone who comes near to keep them at bay. He has no social skills.
