Herr Rove?

I'm at a loss, and I hope this is the right forum to post this, but IS KARL ROVE A DUAL CITIZEN OR NOT? I've accidnetally found several references to this whilst googling Rove for more info on the Plame leak... here's an example:

"According to reliable sources, as well as our own Al Martin Raw.com investigation, Karl Rove is, in fact, the grandson of Karl Heinz Roverer, the gauleiter of Mecklenburg, who was also a partner and senior engineer of Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurb¸ro AG. They built Birchenau, the concentration camp in Nazi Germany."

I checked it at SNOPES Urban Legends, and nothing popped up. The skinny is that, in extremis, he can use his dual status to flee to Switzerland and avoid extradition/prosectuion. Is there any veracity to this, or is this simply more ballyhoo and flapdoodle from the tinfoil deflector beanie crowd? I'd really like to know. It's bad enough that Shrub has ties to Auschwitz money, (cf: "American Dynasty" by Kevin Phillips) now this?

1. Your quote says nothing about dual citizenship.

Lots of Americans have grandfathers from another country, but that doens't make them dual citizens.

Forgive me, I'm new, and I'm suffering from blue state blues...

And where would Rove go? Karl Rove, it should be noted, is a dual citizen of the United States and Germany. Because of his position he has special diplomatic status. The idea is that if its absolutely necessary he could go to Switzerland where he couldn't be extradited.

And I earnestly hope that not all American citizens with grandparents from another country could boast of a Gauleiter gramps who built concentration camps! Again, sorry for the brain flatulence.

3. The Real McCoy?

Rove was Hatfield's "Fortunate Son" source? WHY? What was to be gained? Rove gets to be a tricky subject indeed. One bio has him as "Norwegian American." Me so confused.
