ATTENTION: Anyone going to Seattle for Andy's service
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 02:19 PM by WilliamPitt
I just finished making my hotel reservations by way of a 'Supersaver' organization connected with the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. I can't tell you how helpful they were.

If you are going and still need to make a hotel reservation, call 800-535-7071. They will take good care of you.

Please help keep this kicked.

30. I am also very happy to assist anyone with general advice
about Seattle, especially Seattle's Eastside. Feel free to PM or e-mail me as well.

We are lifelong Seattle residents, and look forward to welcoming DU'ers to our fair city.

Julie

5. biddingfortravel.com
some might find this site useful for finding the cheapest room deals.

I considered rerouting my weekend flight to Seattle for the service, but I figured my presence would probably upset the many people who don't particularly like me.

They're going to a funeral? Let's fuck with them!

Pretty small change after hounding a terminal cancer patient to his grave.

Tough guys. Patriots.

Makes me proud to be an American.

Jesus sees them.

29. Yes, He does
>Jesus sees them.<

Interesting to me that those who profess to be most godly don't seem to want to live by the words of Christ.

In the meantime, for those who serve a higher power (or don't,) this is our chance to be the change we'd like to see in the world.

34. Andy Stevenson was fair and honest.
How fair and honest was he?

The only DU (DEMOCRATIC) member who thought Dino Rossi (R) should have been given re-vote because of the problems in King County.
(I'm paraphrasing)
During Andy's illness at Johns Hopkins, when Rossi lost his bid before the judge, Andy stated in a election or political discussion thread here at DU, about his conversations with the King election officials, and in order to be fair, thought Rossi should have been given another shot.

You heard that right. Go look it up. I even asked if that was what he really felt.

I could not believe it. How much kindness do you show to your character asassins?
How fair is that?

Please mention that, Will, at his service. It makes me cry. I can't even bring myself to thinking it, let alone to state it outloud. It is too merciful.

For those dancing on his grave at this moment.....

Yes, you fools picked the one Democrat who could have helped your party.

Republicans thwart last dying chance of republican governor hopeful, justifying it was just democrat they were burying.

I wonder what Dino would think of your actions.

Not so funny anymore is it?

23. I wish I could be there...I work (Kirkland)
My son dealt with Andy off and on in Ed Murray's office and said he was "something else"driven and believed totally in what he was doing

I wish I could have met him. He and his loved ones will be in my thoughts.

I'm sure Andy knows now that you wish you could be there. And he would have been the first one to give you a hug and tell you not to feel bad about not being able to.

35. I Wish I Could Go, But...
I'll be doing this instead. I've encouraged a number of people to make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN) in Andy's name. It doesn't matter how much or how little you can donate. Just do it when you get the chance.

https://pancan.securesites.com/form/s-donations.html

BTW William, I hope you have a safe trip and I'm looking forward to hearing any stories you can share with us.
