2. That Pictures Says It All...
Letmesee if I have this right. We invade Iraq...overthrow the government, destroy the infrastructure, round up thousands of their men, raid homes at 3am, provide fewer services than the corrupt government it replaced, and the Iraqis are supposed not only to be grateful to the U.S. but be willing to fight to support this pillage?

:banghead:

The lessons being relived here are the worst of what happened in Vietnam. This war is already far dirtier and uglier and a new generation...almost all who are ignorant of what really lost Vietnam...are hellbent on doing the same thing all over again.

I fear one day we'll wake up to a Tet or other large collapse of the military situation in that country and our overstretch troops there won't have the strength to cope any longer. Seems like we get closer to that breaking point every day.

3. Don't forget, At Home we are supposed to be willing to give up
our civil liberties in the name of freedom.
I actually heard the comment this week, You have to give up all your rights in order to be truly free. I just about puked on the spot.

4. Yep, But Not My SUV!!!
I :puke: whenever I hear the term "war on terror". Bullshit.

First, how do you declare war on an "action". You declare war on people, countries, a known entity...not some abstract that can never be truly defined thus "victory" is never assured. Fools.

Second, if this is a "war"...then we should have a declaration by the Congress...have very member step forward and sign on the dotted line. Also to get some stones to restore some checks and balances...if they don't, toss 'em out. Enough of the pandering.

Lastly, let's have some real sacrafice. Everyone chips in where they can and must. If you can't fight, you pay. If you can't pay you fight. If you can do both, then you have a bigger obligation since you have the most to gain and the most at stake. Yeah, I know I'm dreaming...coffee hasn't totally kicked in. LOL.

Cheers...
