NPR = FOX (London bombing coverage)
I can't believe it. The breathless reportage, the right-wing spin.

I just heard Renee Montaigne (sp?) on Morning Edition allow that fundie Sam Brownback to go on and on with his BS take on the attacks in London, and to shill for Bush and his policies. When she wasn't allowing him to spew, she was using that faux-grave tone of voice to create some sort of mini-9/11 atmosphere.

"When our friends are attacked, we're all Fox News."

1. I had a completely different take on NPR coverage...

...I especially liked the interview with Michael Scheuer, author of "Imperial Hubris". You heard ZERO RW spin from him - quite the opposite: he nailed the fallacy of 'fighting them there rather than here' and 'they hate us for our freedoms'.

He was excellent.

3. Unfortunately I didn't hear that part of the coverage.
On my drive to work, all I heard was an unchallenged piece of propaganda from a "stay-the-course" senator, along with a serious-but-excited tone of voice from the interviewer. The whole thing sounded like fearmongering to me.
