I don't get William Krystol
OK, so here's the guy who's practically the architect of the Iraq war - the man that basically sets up the PNAC in the first place...

And now I'm flipping through the channels and I see him arguing with Brit Hume over Karl Rove's comments about how liberals would reply to 9/11. Hume kept saying Rove meant to attack liberals, not necessarily Dems and Dems getting insulted basically showed Dems were liberals.

Krystol surprisingly kept on point and argued what Rove said was wrong. He did a better job than Liasan, who at this point is a complete whore.

My question is...why? I never understood this guy. He also doesn't seem very much in league with the culture war and once (this was a while before 9/11) said "I'm disappointed that this administration has so many corporate types".

So, does it have to do with many of neo cons and their former trotsyite backgrounds? Is it because they have several Dems on their side (such as Lieberman and Biden)?

Now, Krystol obviously is no liberal and when speaking, he still sounds like one smarmy bastard, but at times he's surpringly reasonable, unlike Hume, Hannity, and the like.

...Wouldn't want to be lynched and indicted, I don't think.

Remember, Rove is insane, Kristol's just an enabler. :D

3. he's neocon #1
and neocons generally don't involve themselves in the culture war, except for education issues.

Don't fall for it, it's a trick, he also has advocated for Rumsfeld's resignation, don't fall for that either.

8. yep
I was just flipping through the channels and happened upon it. Hume was red in the face and looked pissed. It was pathetic watching him justify Rove's comments.

when is someone going to ask him how Bush managed to get a 95% approval rating after 9/11 if all the "liberals" disagreed with him???
