reading before you post (a small rant)
I normally avoid starting threads in GD like the plague but I've noticed a disturbing trend today. I've read more than one post where someone stated flat out that they hadn't read an entire thread before posting.

Ok people. I know sometimes there are duplicate comments because you and someone else were typing the same thought at the same time and that doesn't bug me. Happens to me all the time. :-)

But when you see the same thing posted over and over and over again in a thread because people just don't bother to read what's already been said (and are willing to admit that), well, that just drives me nuts.

Ok, end of rant.

4. Yeah...
And when people write something that someone else already wrote. Isn't it obvious that they didn't bother to read the whole thread before shooting off with some redundant shit? Damn!

5. All I know
is that I hate it when people post the same stuff over and over again. Read the thread, people!

6. aren't message boards sort of like opinion polls
in a sense? I can see the problem if a number of people ask the same question, but if the same comment is made then all that does is reinforce that many people are thinking the same thing. Also, sometimes people just don't feel like looking over 200 something posts before they type.

8. Probably it would be easier if every response started a new
thread.
