McCain, R-Arizona, did defend Bush's call to stop terrorism abroad before it reaches the U.S. shore. Appearing on CNN's "Larry King Live" program, McCain said that those spreading violence in Iraq "are the same guys who would be in New York if we don't win in Iraq."

We can start demanding to know why we're building about 17 military bases in Iraq if our strategy is to eventually leave. Lies, lies and more lies from the administration and now Senators like McCain. Surely he knows about the bases.

What is to stop them from being in New York simultaneously, if they could get here? We know that they would if they could, and they still might.
