Saudi held for attempting to kill Bush
Amnesty International said U.S. authorities arrested a Saudi on charges of attempting to assassinate President George W. Bush.
The Saudi daily al-Watan Monday quoted Sharon Craytobel, Amnesty International researcher in North America, as saying the human rights watchdog is concerned about the fate of the Saudi man, who is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
"The U.S. government included the name of the Saudi on a list of wanted people after he made statements during a visit to Saudi Arabia which were considered as terrorist inspired," Craytobel said.
She said the suspect, who was not identified, will be tried soon in the U.S. on charges of trying to kill Bush.

1. When will they get the message about the Saudis?
Probably around the same time that the American people get the message about the Moonies.

2. "The Saudis Are Our Friends"
so how could this happen?

3. "Making terrorist-inspired statements"
That's what he did. He DIDN'T actually 'attempt to kill the President'.

"The U.S. government included the name of the Saudi on a list of wanted people after he made statements during a visit to Saudi Arabia which were considered as terrorist inspired," Craytobel said.

In other words, in Saudi Arabia, where there is no freedom of speech, he said something that was considered 'terrorist inspired'. For all we know, he could have said, "We should have elections instead of a Royal Family", though it was likely something anti-Bush.

So they are going to send him here, and we are going to try him for this? How is this going to work?

4. This article is planted now to gin up sympathy for Bush before his speech.
Watch how the broadcast media will play this up.

5. That is the last thing I want to see happen.
The Saudis are not our friends. This needs to be drilled in people's skulls.
I'd hate like hell to see anyone killed but especially the chimp. No way would I want him Kennedyed.
