1) We are attacked every day outside the U.S. Not to mention innocent Iraqi's being killed.

2) There is no need for an attack now, because 'terrorists' have accomplished their goal of creating intense unease and an economic drain on the U.S., neither of which are ever addressed by Shrub.

We had mobilized the largest military force the planet has ever seen. We defeated the Germans and had the perpetrators of the attack on Pearl Harbor signatures on a treaty. 3.5 years after 9/11 this administration doesn't even know where the perps are. 16. Also, the guy responsible for planning and carrying out Pearl Harbor

Admiral Yomamota, was dead. Assasinated by order of President Roosevelt at the risk of The US exposing it's breaking of the Japanese naval code. They killed him in '43, I think, so it was fewer than 2 years after Pearl attack.

But just think, if the AWOL/Moron was pres in '41, we'd have attacked Costra Rico in retaliation for Pearl Harbor attack.

14. The thing that keeps nagging my mind, haunting me, pestering me is

this: Why wasn't there any air cover over our nation's capitol on 9/11, not even over the Pentagon? They had almost an hour's notice on that one. There was nothing in the air. They didn't even aim any ack-ack guns skyward. No defense.

It's mind-boggling, when you think about it. And mind-boggling that there is no answer. No one held responsible. No heads rolled. Not even scapegoat heads. And there is no good explanation.

Rumsfeld was in his office at a meeting, so he says. WTC goes down. Plane headed for DC. No...nothing, no orders, no emergency plan, no AF jets in the air instantly to protect the Pentagon and the Capitol? 50 or so minutes go by. Nothing.

I know there are a whole lot of weird and inexplicable things about that day's events. And I'm familiar with all the warnings that the Bush Cartel ignored. This is the thing that keeps coming back to me--maybe because it was the one thing that our protectors in the Pentagon had some potential control over. And they did nothing. And all emergency plans for that kind of occurrence--they all didn't happen. NOTHING was done to defend the Capitol.

And that's just staggering to me. Our Capitol was defenseless!

It's like that the stray thread you might pick at in a weaving or a tapestry, that could unravel the whole. That's just so....wrong, so odd, so out of place. So completely the opposite of what you would expect to occur in that circumstance. The entire government and Defense establishment fast asleep with a murderous plane headed their way, the third of four, with the first two now blazing away in the top floors of the WTC ?

Remember those old cartoon puzzles: "WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?"

Something very wrong there. Very.
