A few reminders why we shouldn't be like them.

There was this really schizy article on the home page. One paragraph admits they own the voting machines, another paragraph it says we should use any means possible to sway voters. What voters? We already have the voters. We don't have the machines that switch the votes, so getting more voters won't help.

It seems to assume that the cons have conned people into believing their lies. Maybe a few, but most of the ones they do have, they bought. And the ones who seem to really believe them might just be faking it for the money. The fundies are the saviors, remember? If you've hit bottom and have nothing, they'll pick you up, clean you up, hook you up, and hire you. All you gotta do is always say what they tell you even if you know better--and you already know where speaking truth to power got you, which is right where they found you.

There are still only three motivating factors: drugs, sex, and money. Drugs means prescription stuff and booze for the most part, but they'll part with coke and heroin if they need to to keep you in line. Most folks settle for antidepressants and viagra. As for the sex, you get a real church marriage, so it is guaranteed by the Lord. And you get to keep the job they gave you, unlike the thousands you see being laid off all the time.

The rich ones know that they're crooks and that the pukes are the party of crooks. The ones who aren't rich are bought, pure and simple. Some of them get lured into stuff that can be used to blackmail and control them forever. It isn't a choice either for those born into it or for those trapped into it. If they have the pictures of you with the kids, you can't just break away because you know they'll send the pictures to the feds and you'll go to jail and nobody will believe they set you up.

If you try to infiltrate them, you'll have to prove yourself. And the only way you can prove yourself is by doing stuff that will give them control of you forever. Warning! Don't try this unless you're wired and have Michael Moore's full camera crew with you. Otherwise you're either going to be found out, or you're going down.

Don't worry about calling yourself a liberal or a progressive, or whatever floats your boat. What you are is somebody who doesn't have to pay for it, can score without a script, and knows how to get by without much money when necessary. That's how you survived. That's why they hate you.

The only way people will break with fascism is when they realize that the Night of the Long Knives is coming and that they're digging their own graves. And believe me, they know they're a minority, they know they're not very bright, they know they don't deserve what they have, they know the price they paid, and they're constantly looking over their shoulders. And popping more anti-depressants.

When somebody tells you that you should play their game, or come down to their level, or that the only way you can win is to betray yourself, you'll recognize a con when you hear one--you wouldn't have gotten this far if you didn't.
