| Are some RINOs better than DINOs? |

All I'd know is that in a hypothetical election between Liarman and Arlen Specter, I'd vote for Specter.

Or even John McCain. At least when one voted for McCain you'd get straight talk.

He's hardly a RINO. He has no integrity. His Shrubkissing is worse and more insincere than Pat Buchanan's. He doesn't do any RINO things except campaign finance reform. Arlen Specter on the other hand is vociferously anti freetrade.
Who's Chaffe and why the love for him?

I think he might be even more liberal than Specter.
And I don't love any of these folks. I go by gut and feell I can trust McCain or Chaffee over LIEberman.

Never met a tax cut he did not like. He's as bad as Holy Joe, when it comes to taxes. (being a RINO)
I don't mind moderates and centrists of either party - it's the idealogues on both sides, especially the right, that get to me.

Ninety-nine percent of the time, I'd say RINO over DINO (Chaffee over Miller), but with both Houses of Congress so closely divided and the nation itself so closely divided, there's nothing for it: Organizing Congress sets the entire agenda within which individual issues arise.
Voting for Specter over Lieberman is in effect to support Orrin Hatch over Pat Leahy for Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
I'm not saying there's no gag reflex!!

|
I'd take Lieberman any day.
If these RINOs are so great, they should become Democrats. However, there are some extreme cases. I happen to like Olympia J. Snowe and I tolerate Lincoln Chafee, but I'd much rather see Chellie Pingree and Patrick Kennedy in their seats.
However, I'd take Connie Morella (the most liberal Republican I'd ever encountered) over Ralph M. Hall (the most conservative DINO I've ever encountered).
