Lou Dobbs and Bill Schneider had their "Lib Dem" night on CNN!
Jobs going to "Third Worlds" (maybe they are First Worlds, now). Dobbs says 500,000 IT workers have lost their jobs and Lou described this as "FRIGHTENING" and he cited GE, Microsoft, Nortel, Oracle...etc.
AND.....he mentioned DELTA Airlines is setting up a "Customer Service Center" in the Phillipines!
He then went on with Bill Schnieder the pollster.....who made strong points that American Men of both parties are now disenchanted with Bush......and the Gallup poll was presented that Bush was in big trouble. Ameican Men are "worried about their jobs....."
And, there was a comparison that Bush has a problem that's worse than Poppy's, because Poppy's polls were much higher at this point after the Gulf War I!
So......even though Lou whores and Schneider whores.......this was a very "HARD HITTING" Lou Dobbs repot geared, I assume, to their Repug. VIEWERS.......
So.....it's interesting. They did, however, trash the French and make it seem that Bush would go in their with his "codpiece" flairing and win support for another Resolution......but I give them credit for the jobs support...
BTW Dobbs also did a report that Mexican Americans and other "immigrants" were getting a "free pass on drivers licenses and Social Security Payments by just coming into America and having a stable job which allows them to do this...and the employer doesn't need to ask questions about Drivers Liscence or their "employer Social Security pay ins" and he questioned how this fits in with "Homeland Security" and Border patrols.
I was Very Okay with Dobbs report.......he had a lot in there that could be taken as Dem support.....if you ignore the backhand slaps...which were imho mild.......
Maybe the slow ones in this country are really finally waking up when they keep hearing more bad news to counteract the propaganda machine running whenever a republican speaks.
Recently here in my state 4 major plants (athletic wear, catfish, etc.) have laid off close to 5000 people. Each and everytime the reason given by the company owner was "due to the poor economy." Well hell, I thought Bush and his touring economic team told us we were in a recovery. If that is true, how come the businessmen aren't holding onto folks hoping Christmas will get them through?
I don't watch Lou Dobbs much, but I have occasionally seen him cover job loss fairly. Too bad he probably blames the liberals and not Bush.
He's a "business" Republican -- as opposed to an ideological rightwing Republican. I know a lot of business Republicans who vote that way because they think it's good for their pocketbooks. Self-interest, after all, is human nature. But they'll switch on a dime once they realize W's hurting their bottom line.
