The fluctuating numbers probably have to do with hitting a different server each time you refresh. To handle the traffic, they have several different sites/servers established to balance the bandwidth demands. The difference each time is due to hitting a different server where the information hasn't yet updated.

The thing is that the majority of these names are coming in response to a moveon mail out to their list. Thus, the vast majority will be valid signatures. Hopefully we go in excess of 500,000, so that even if there ARE duplicates, it won't be enough to change the fact that we did get a half-million signatures.

I wish I could sign it today again, but I already signed as part of the 100,000 signers that conyers was initially going for. So, no fun signing again for me... :-(
