Has Bush proven that America really is a "Great Satan"?

This is a rhetorical question, perhaps, but: In the light of an unjust spree of mass murder and destruction, built upon lies and propaganda, one has to wonder what this really says of the good old US of A. Does this not make us all the things the Muslim fundamentalist world has been accusing us of?

The real meat is - what do we owe? What is the proper reconcilation for an unjustified invasion and occupation along with the systematic destruction of the country's entire infrastructure?

I submit that is not enough to simply get rid of Bush. It is not adequite to get away with being a 'Good Cop' to the Neocon's 'Bad Cop' and still get away with stealing a nation. This would not be just, but rather, an elaborate con job.

Can we move forward in peace without making things right?

To answer, I think that if the US invaded israel a lot of Muslims would still call America the great satan. Most fundementalist muslims hated saddam. they hate our Hollywood culture more than anything. The only thing that would satiate some of them would be seeing a Muslim chanting Allah Akbah from the statue of liberty's torch.
