5. What is the deal with that now?
State rights should be one issue...

But we have had a couple baby boomer presidents and if anything they are getting stricter. For instance hemp is now outlawed in any food product, even chap-stick, since it goes on your lips. That is despite the nutritional benefits of the oil (perfect balance of EFA's) and the fact you can't get high from it.

Nixon's commission way back when found that marijuana should be decriminalized, but the feds haven't backed off at all. Overriding state rights, ignoring the majority of the population who favor it for medical reasons, busting the doctors and patients? I guess the court had to look at the law (though the fact it was not commerce was a valid point).

We are officially nuts.

Marijuana hasn't been proven to do anything medical in 4,000 years, I trust the FDA, they've given us all kinds of deadly medicine.

11. No Cheap Drugs!
We must pay for expensive prescriptions! The pharm. companies have profits to make! Put them on a more dangerous and addictive pain killer instead!

I am convinced this is all about the pharm. companies not making money off this cheap, easy to grow drug.

13. I'm smoking weed 40 yrs. now
and the only detriment I experienced during those decades was getting arrested 4 times.Shame on my government for the pathetic attempt to regard weed as a class 1 drug ...drugs like tuinals, secondals, amphetimes, valium, percocet, vicadin, the list is long.
Still these drugs are classified,class2..Not to forget Ritalin an upper prescribed to hundreds of thousands children across the country for attention deficit disorder.
High Times magazine estimates 30,000,000 americans currently smoke weed.I would definitely March on Washington along with a million other citizens who should demand `Marijuana be decriminalized and made available to all-comers of legal age..
I could go on..

17. I smoked
Casually when I was in college, it was ok...

I smoked Medicinally at age 28 when I was losing up to 20 pounds a month and it lowered the weight loss then stopped it.

Marijuana saved my life - Screw you feds, I will go to jail before I let you kill me when a medicine is within my reach!

and if it were legal, people would rather smoke it than to buy those expensive meds they get in the mail monthly with their 'senior discount card'.

And nononononono...we can't have that can't we? Even those in California are getting f*cked with the new federal law.

22. Not all who use Viagra should be
referred to as disparagingly as "horny old men", many are unable to perform acts of love with their lifelong partners and are being helped, you are insinuating they are all dirty and seedy, which may be offensive to some.

I can't understand people putting down elderly men for wanting to have a sex life.

42. I'm not sure why I wrote that mopaul. The title seemed a bit surprising.
Like you thought it unfair that horny old men should be allowed to get help if chemo sufferers weren't.

So I thought I'd write a quick comment to point out the contrast seemed unfair.

I'm not there yet either, but I certainly hope to be a horny old man, and don't see anything wrong with getting help at some point.

Anyway, sorry I criticised.

25. How come marijuana can't be put in a pill form? Why does it have to be
smoked? It seems to me if they could make a pill out of it, they could then prescribe it to people who benefit from it. I just don't understand why it has to be smoked.

many years ago, thc tablets. don't know much abou them, other than i tried it years ago, but can't remember the results, if that's any help.

daddybush used to use thc eyedrops to treat some malady. i swear. and he also took halcyon, whatever that is.

i wonder why the big pharms don't jump on it? think of the money they'd make. or big tobacco. i don't get it.

From what I have read, it works, but it is more effective to smoke marijuana than take Marinol tablets, especially for people who are suffering side effects (nausea) of chemotherapy, etc.

I haven't smoked weed, or whatever they call it these days for many years, but it certaintly should have been legal years ago. If used properly, it can do a lot of good. And for you "improper" users--keep the fridge full. ( A couple of my kids came home a few years ago, and tried to convince me that redhot cheetoes and maoynoise sandwhiches were NOT MUNCHIE FOOD. I still give them shit about that.)

32. Its a good thing the supreme court is irrelevant
What a bunch of criminal assholes, as if Mafia decisions are at all
relevant to decent people. The purpose of criminalization and the
war on cannabis is 100% to jail and disenfranchise liberal voters, and
hence, why the democratic party should seek to legallize cannabis
straight on.

http://www.japantoday.com/e/?content=news&cat=8&id=339554

As much as those puffed up traitors can claim to know the law, what they
really are is just an advanced guard for the nazi takeover, and should
be resisted on all fronts. Nobody, in historical retrospect, considers
the german supreme court decisions under the nazis relevant, and as well
we should totally disregard the supreme court in their bunker waging
aggressive war on all the people of the world.

Because there are super-expensive drugs with more side-effects that can do the same job. Don't mess with the pharma market, OK?
