Why no big attack so far and why one is coming.

I think the reason there has been no big attack since 9/11 is very simple: Al Qaeda is still reaping the benefits of the last attack. They haven't needed to attack us lately, because Bush has already done everything they want (and more) to destroy America. Bin Laden got lucky with the WTC towers coming down, but he got even luckier with Bush. Perhaps Bin Laden even postponed the 9/11 attacks (planned under Clinton) until Bush was seated so that Bin Laden could take advantage of Bush's stupidity and connections to the Saudis.

Bin Laden is a happy man. No need to do anything right now...

Unfortunately, Bush will no longer be president in 3.5 years, and I believe that fact will motivate Bin Laden to try another attack within that time frame. OBL knows he is about to lose Bush, and he knows that Bush is a damage multiplier for attacks against the United States.

Bin Laden is almost certainly dead. The last believable tape of him was in December of 01.

If Al Qaeda exists, it's a disorganized band of people with CIA ties -- like Bin Laden was.

After the 9/11 attack, we had the moral high ground. French papers were printing headlines that said 'We Are All Americans' and the world had rallied to us. Bush & Co. pissed that away, and now we do not have the moral high ground.

If they attack us again, they will give us the moral high ground again. They are smarter than that, unfortunately.
