Bush has,in effect, thrown down the gauntlet, to the rest of the world.
He says that I am going to do damned well what I please.Invade countries, steal their resources, install puppet governments and see if any of you can do anything.

He has also thrown down the gauntlet to the democrats or whatever little opposition that is left.He says again I will pack the Congress, the Courts and the Executive Branch with my yes men.No one can survive without my say so. The Press exists to spout my propaganda.Elections exist just to rubber stamp my candidates. Opinion polls count for nothing. I or my machines get to count the votes.

Tell me how he differs from an old style tyrant.And as is usual, even tyrants, fall.That may be the end of the story except it won't be.All the people he has killed, maimed, wounded, marginalized, cheated are going to rise up like tsunami and wash away his arrogance.Ceacescu found that out and so did the French nobility.

Time wounds all heels.
