Wounded gay soldier DISCHARGED from Army: Country doesn't want you
CINCINNATI - An Army sergeant from Ohio who was wounded in Iraq and wanted to remain in the military as an openly gay soldier was officially discharged Tuesday, according to an advocacy group.

Sgt. Robert Stout, 23, was awarded the Purple Heart

after a grenade sent shrapnel into his arm, face and legs while he was using a machine gun on a Humvee in May 2004.

Stout, of Utica in central Ohio, told The Associated Press in April that he wanted to remain in the military and be openly gay, but that would conflict with the Pentagon's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

1. The Army should just send that Bitch in your pic to Iraq,
since they do not need good strong gay men to serve.

2. Who bloody cares for whom he wants to get jiggy with?
They're all there for the same reason: torture innocents molest their co-ed soldiers Fight for their country.

If I enlisted, I'd keep my personal life to myself. So should every other officer. They are there for a reason; not to fraternize with each other.

3. You must be joking
Keep their personal life to themselves. Maybe the guy has a guy waiting for him here that he writes to etc. Maybe the guy just doesn't feel right being dishonest with people whose lives depend upon him and who depends upon them. It isn't just a personal life.

4. So a heterosexual officer should not discuss his wife & kids back home?
It should be kept to himself?

7. Come on now
Heteros can brag about how much pussy they got last night. They can keep photos of their girlfriends/wives on their walls. They can walk down the street arm in arm with their lovers and kiss passionately in a public restaurant. And all of this is "normal".

If a gay person even admits s/he is gay s/he is "flaunting" his/her sexuality. Perish the thought they should go as far as make contact with a romantic partner in view of others...

5. Sergeants aren't officers...but be that as it may,
Edited on Tue May-31-05 08:42 PM by karlrschneider
the 'fraternizing' rules are idiotic holdovers from...I don't even know when. As I recall they're supposed to dissuade enlisted people from being "friends" with officers and vice-versa but it's a tradition honored mostly in the breach. It often happens and rarely is scrutinized. Hell's bells, when I was in the AF, I had close relations with people from E-1 to O-9.

6. Why did you have to post that picture of that demented pig?
She is the one who thought it was cute to make fun of all the soldiers who have gotten wounded for their country.

9. You just wait....when the U.S. goes into Iran, Syria, and N. Korea...
....sorry to be vulgar, but Bush and Rumsfeld will personally suc* all of our gay dic*s, begging us to go fight because there aren't enough soldiers.

And by the way, how many gay linguists(sp?) who speak Arabic have been fired? It's crazy.
