notice how almost NOTHING is what it seems anymore?
just a few years back, no one suspected anything about government, then jfk's murder, nixon's downfall, iran/contra, and now bushco has taken this trend to impossible heights.

every news story that breaks, is instantly suspicious. strange isn't it, here in the year 2005. (1984)

1. Yep
I used to think that the conspiracy theories were nuts. Now I think they're not nuts enough - the truth is even stranger.

These morons allow guards at Gitmo to abuse the Koran, pictures of Arab leaders in their skivvies appear in rag sheets, and these dumb fucks can't understand why the Muslim world hates us? Oh, I forgot - it's all Newsweak's fault.

8. well ...
it doesn't seem like that to me ... just kidding ...

well, actually, it may be true that there are many of us who question everything more than we once did ... perhaps there was a time when Cronkite or Huntley and Brinkley told us something and we just accepted it ... there was a sense that news people put getting the story right before getting a bigger audience ...

i just got off the phone with someone telling me what a great interviewer Tim Russert is ... "he's so unbiased" they said ...

with right-wing idiots like you get on Fox news, it's easy for less political people to see their bias ... but those who are more subtle, like Russert and other big name newscasters, often aren't seen for the corporate swill they really are ... so, it's true that WE are instantly suspicious but i'm afraid there are still far too many who know it's true because they "heard it on TV" ...
