Another glaring example... how far the MSM has fallen....
headline - Tigard's drinking water may be affected by line bust
(not burst..... bust. swear to God!)

first paragraph...
TIGARD, Ore. - Public Works officials in Tigard are advising customers to let their water run a little bit before drinking it after a water line busted Wednesday afternoon.
(not burst, or even broke... nope... it busted.)

2. Don't call the Corporate Media "the MSM"!!
There's nothing "mainstream" about their sick agenda of greed and manipulation.

NGU.

5. Oops! forgot....we need to shorten it tho....
CM just doesn't have the right ring to it...
CCM - corrupt corporate media.... I like that, but it's redundant... ya know corrupt and corporate... like a double-negative.

;-)

Who's writing their copy, Dan Quayle?

Not only was it written in this manner, but it got past the EDITOR!

9. Believe me, many editors are guilty of bad grammar and spelling.
I know. I am a copy editor for 3 magazine editors. And some of the mistakes I catch are atrocious.

8. thanks paine!
Maybe...

Dear sirs,

I have just read your article about the water main busting. Thanks for your excellent reportage. However, I have some issues with the grammar and usage.

for instance, perhaps the second paragraph should read more like the first... I recommend...

According to Dennis Koellermeier, Director for Tigard Public Works, a moran sewer guy working in the area of the new Tigard public libary on S.W. Hall Boulevard hit a water line around noon.

and so on... at least you would be consistant.

thank you.

7. "...to let their water run a little bit before drinking it..."
Love that helpful specificity too!
How long's "a little bit"? That depends on how hard it is for you to pay your water bill every month, I guess.

Don't be too mad at the editor...he was rightfully proud of catching "after a sumbitch water line busted". :D
