"Legislating from the oval office?"

Or does that only work for the pious right wing crowd? You know, the ones who laugh and squeal when another state votes against gay marriage? "Ha ha ha ha! MAJORITY RULE! Ha ha ha!"

If 2/3 of the people and both houses of Congress approve of an issue and the President threatens the bill with a veto, I think it's fair he gets a dose of his own no-embryo-was-harmed medicine. Mr. President! Juvenile diabetes and Parkinson's patients just wanted a fair up or down vote! Why are you "legislating"?

1. Bush has to veto it
One of the reasons all the fundies that came out for him in droves last election was because of the pro life no science argument.

Bush wouldn't have won without this crowd. He knows where his bread is buttered.

2. How very true! Add to that . . .
.
How very true! Add to that . . . that George Walker Bush is a born-again fundie radical himself. After all, he talks to God and God talks to George. Therefore, George can do no wrong.

6. Of course no science was used in the making of this "product"
We can make new babies, but it appears we need to go back to the drawing board where new brain cells are concerned.

3. Well, he's always been
an active president. Why, he rides his bike, he throws a ball to rover, and he chews and chokes on pretzels. Why, that is such an active president. And I'm sure he's busy doing other things too, while Darth Vader runs the country--like coloring in coloring books and reading My Pet Goat. In fact, I'd say he's a much more active president than others!

5. I don't see how he can't veto it
and stem cell research is popular. Between this and his unpopular social security plans, he's got some problems.

8. You go right on ahead georgie*
Prove once again you're in the pocket of the pharmacutical cos. If one could recover through the implantation of stem cells, then they wouldn't have to give up their life savings for medicine would they?
