STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., May 24 /Christian Wire Service/ -- In the light of the vote of the House of Representatives Tuesday on a bill to provide federal funds for stem cell research that would require killing human embryos, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, stated, "Those voting in favor of this bill have ignored a basic scientific fact - that a human embryo is a human being -- and a basic moral fact - that the end does not justify the means. Elected lawmakers in America should know better than to make either of those two mistakes. Thank God we have a President ready to veto this misguided legislation, should it ever reach his desk."
