Why do people still torture themselves by watching Chris Matthews?
I don't get it. It's almost as thought people watch him with the hope that someday when he lands on a political conviction, he just might land on our side. Let your hopes be dashed. He is the sum total of everything that is wrong with journalism today.

Tweety has no convictions and no courage. He is a huge ambulatory thumb in the wind. He is like a common house fly that buzzes around hysterically until it dies or someone kills it.

Sorry, had to say it.

2. Why do people torture themselves watching TV...
unless it is something educational or The Simpsons, I just don't get it. Everything on the TV sucks....ESPECIALLY MATTHEWS!

Don't stop with Matthews...you will be happy you didn't

4. I agree 100%
I haven't watched him in at least a year and I don't miss his show at all. I wish Dems would stop going on all of these shows--just boycott them all.

8. Actually, it may be more like stepping in a dog pile
It smells terrible, but somehow, even when you're scraping your shoe off on the curb, you can't stop yourself from sniffing it.

9. He's everything Democrats were during the Nineties

in what amounts to caricature. It's like watching your political self of ten years ago being played out in the present. It's all about recognizing how both clever and naive or ignorant you used to be relative to what you are are now.

He's a relic of the moderate-dominated Democratic Party of 1995 up to its demise in 2001. The contrast we're all drawing is to the increasingly liberal-centric, increasingly principled, Democratic Party formed from the rubble of its predecessor in 2002 to 2003.

11. Hey, I will still watch him about half the time. He was great with
zell from hell miller at the RNC Convention. I believe also he has no convictions but please name at least three of the TV types that do. I like Keith Olbermann because I think he has some journalistic standards. Forget Ted Koppel, Tim Russert, etal

13. Tweety the Screamer?
We're supposed to like him because he might have voted Democratic back in the 70's?

He is SO fucking wishy-washy. The very illustration of "Oh, PLEASE, Scotty-Mac! DON'T take my ACCESS away!!! PUH-LEEEEESE!!! NOT my ACCESS!!!!! I'll say anything you want me to...ANYTHING!!!!!"
