Maybe not to the degree that 9/11 did with him hitting close to 90% approval. But it would be enough of a rally roundto at least quelch any questions or criticisms for a long enough period of time for them to do a lot of damage.

3. The Public Will Turn Against Them, But It Won't Matter

They will start rounding up Muslims and dissenters, maybe institute some form of martial law, the draft etc. Pretty much would be the final nail, indisputable in the coffin for the Republic. No going back.

You actually might see some bogus polls coming out showing people rallying around the leader, but it will be almost certainly propoganda. People WILL blame Bush this time around, but the press will never let you know that.

In Alex Jones' documentary "American Dictators" (98% Bush) he talked about dictaorships and how in one the police become the military and the military become the police. Quite scary. I hope and pray it doesn't happen but knowing these people I wouldn't be surprised. Is there any indication in the PNAC plans about another attack? Are they still going to Iran next month or has it been moved and they're working on Syria now? With all the crying on our image from the Bush camp that is some kind of sign I think. Remember these people are the loudest to proclaim they don't care about our image to other people and don't care what other wordly leaders think so why the fuss all of a sudden with Newsweek, Saddam's photo's and Laura traveling around trying to "repair" our image?

That would mean they failed to "protect" us. They will "stop" a "terra" attack before it can happen. Conveniently the "attacker" will be some poor brown skinned guy from whatever Middle Eastern Nation they want to invade that week.

Oh--and did I forget to mention he'll probably be carrying a big sign that says "Osama Bin Laden AND the leader of my country MADE ME do this!"

They're in control now and have to stay in control. They use fear to control people and get things done. I think one will happen next year if it does so they can win more seats. Things will seem fine and calm for a while and then bamb. It'll happen when we're not expecting it. You are right though about who they'll blame. Why else is Usama BinLaden still not captured? If he was really the person who did the attacks and Bush really was an innocent person in this wouldn't BinLaden have been hunted down already? They will probably blame it on Iran or Syria.

I don't believe for a moment that anyone but Al-Queda "staged" the attack on 9/11. And, another attack will come because BushCorp is accumulating enemies like shit draws flies. Shrub and his thugs needn't "stage" anything.

When it does, and it doesn't have to be spectacular, the public will react much the same way as it did to 9/11. Somber looking politicians of both parties will vow revenge, somber looking generals in camis will vow to "defend" the country, the media will call in the "experts", and the public will decorate their cars with ribbons, flags, and bumper stickies to announce their "patriotism".

And, watch the "liberals" here defend every action that the politicians take to "protect" us.
