Pat Tillman's family says the Bush administration is "DISGUSTING"
<SNIP>

In interviews with The Washington Post, the Army Ranger's mother and father said they believe the military and the government created a heroic tale about how their son died to foster a patriotic response across the country.

''Pat had high ideals about the country; that's why he did what he did,'' Mary Tillman told the Post. ''The military let him down. The administration let him down. It was a sign of disrespect. The fact that he was the ultimate team player and he watched his own men kill him is absolutely heartbreaking and tragic. The fact that they lied about it afterward is disgusting.''

6. Sorry, mo, But That Analogy Fails
In chess, the pieces have certain value. The administration assigns ZERO value to the troops.

5. Do you have a link?
I feel terribly sorry for these people and for Pat himself. He was idealistic to a fault.

What a terrible shame.

9. LInk, Tillmans dad is a lawyer wanting punishment up the COC
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/05...

"In the case of the death of Corporal Patrick Tillman, the Army made mistakes in reporting the circumstances of his death to the family," said Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks, an Army spokesman. "For these, we apologize. We cannot undo those early mistakes."

Patrick Tillman Sr. believes he will never get the truth, and he says he is resigned to that now. But he wants everyone in the chain of command, from Tillman's direct supervisors to the one-star general who conducted the latest investigation, to face discipline for dishonorable acts. He also said the soldiers who killed his son have not been adequately punished.

"Maybe lying's not a big deal anymore," he said. "Pat's dead, and this isn't going to bring him back. But these guys should have been held up to scrutiny, right up the chain of command, and no one has."

16. Why do decent people
support this corrupt administration? Why do people who profess to believe in truth keep silent while the Bushies use soldiers to bolster their propaganda? First, Jessica Lynch, who contradicts the uber spin put on her story. Then, the Pentagon lying to the American people and to Pat Tillman's family.
And, of course, the Bushies lying to the world about the intelligence behind the invasion of Iraq.
How much does it take? What is the breaking point?

22. Most of them don't know any different.
I didn't. If I hadn't found this place, who knows where I would be. They have not a clue about what's going on, nor do they know where to get a clue. That's the problem. Where I went to school their were no minorities or liberals. I just hated them, because my dad did and his dad did. People don't realize how cut off from the world some of these people are, and some of them do it by design. Change is scary to them just like anyone else. I've completely changed my point of view mainly because of DU, and I was lucky enough to be able to travel. Otherwise I still be there, not knowing any better.

the truth fall where it may. She needs to come out and shout it as well and let everyone know how this administration has used these situations to further their agenda....

21. Patric Tillman Sr. said ......
and I quote .......

""After it happened, all the people in positions of authority went out of their way to script this," the father said. "They purposely interfered with the investigation, they covered it up. I think they thought they could control it, ..... " -snip-

Gee where have I heard this kind of thing before? Sounds very familiar, isn't this standard operating procedure from all the higher ups in our land now-a-days? Tragic. Peace.
