Think about it the way Rove thinks about it:

This appeals to the mainstream by promoting a female at a time when the Right is under fire for denying women their rights and for failing to protect women in any legislative, judicial or executive sense. You can bet there are more stories of military abuse of females due to come out in the next week or two...

This takes the spotlight and heat off the Pres whose numbers have tanked.
They are hoping to "mainstream" Laura because they realize that * can NEVER be seen as "mainstream."

This give FU-X News something to focus on. Their numbers (as I predicted months ago---ahem) are tanking because people are smarter than they ever imagined, and are tuning out the lies. They hoped for a positive spin here, for something to focus on abroad rather than emphasizing the insipid silence of FU-X News at a time when our domestic survival is questionable.

THE END COMETH for these fools, and rather than stepping down graciously as Nixon did, they will try to do anything and everything to save themselves. The fun part is, they only do themselves more damage with every carefully concocted plan!

You know how they have that little grimace? Like they're saying to us, "Watch us pull the wool over the sheeple's eyes again and there is NOTHING you can do!" But the sheeple are dwindled, and the mainstream doesn't like the smirky grimace. Their spiteful arrogance is actually killing them and it is fascinating to watch.

At this point, all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the show.
