there is absolutely no cause for optimism as long as bush is in the white house. we have 3 and 1/2 years to go with this shit, and it ain't going up. we ain't seen nothin' yet.

1. It won't end there either
If it was just Bush, that's one thing. But he's just a name in a decades long, multi-billion dollar religious/corporate/political movement. They picked Bush, he didn't pick them. Thankfully we still have that other guy in Florida with the same name.

2. What frightens me even more is the long line of whack jobs ready to
follow him. President Frist? Delay? Santorum? Allen? We haven't found a house in Canada yet, but if it's November 4, 2008 and any of these names are in the headlines, we'll live in a Maytag box as long as it's on the other side of the border.

3. It will make for a very interesting dog days of summer
It is a time when smoldering discontent finds release. We shall see just how much the American public can stomach.

6. You got it backwards.
The people wake up, and THEN there's the revolution.

I'm patiently waiting for them to wake up, it'll be interesting. The outrage, the anger, etc. All while we sit and watch, saying, "We've been shouting about this for years, and NOW you jump on board ?" This of course will only happen after they have been screwed beyond all belief, i.e. national poverty, economic collapse, near complete loss of freedoms, etc.

As we get closer and closer to the theocratic fascist state, I wonder if they will ever wake up. What has to happen ?

5. Don't want to upset the Freepers with that talk
Everything is rosy in their world. If libruls didn't exist, the Rapture would have already happened and it would be heaven on earth. Norman Lear, Dan Rather and of course the Klintoons are responsible for all evil and BushCheney are just trying to clean up the mess with their "bold leadership". Surely you got the memo, MoPaul.

10. I thought the rapture was set to take them away and
leave us behind. I'm happy to be left behind...I'm just looking forward to their getting taken away.

That's optimism isn't it?

7. I feel your sentiment but...
I see things changing for the better. I believe we will fall further still, but I see people beginning to wake up, and facing the fact that the leadershit of this country is killing it. My only wish is that the Dems will latch on to this new populism, because it is coming, and it will not be stopped. Or am I suffering from really wishful thinking?

12. Happy Sunday to you too, MoPaul! Damned it all.
I so hate to have to agree with you. Damn, double damn and damn some more! Have a great day, and don't forget to catch the re-broadcast of Galloway on C-Span today (sometime around 11:00 CST).

Cheers!

We still can hope............
