Anyone catch the evangelicalism that was passed off as news...

last night on 20/20?

I stumbled upon it about halfway through and was thoroughly dumbfounded.

No scientists, archaeologists, Muslims, pagans, etc. Just Christians talking about the resurrection and disagreeing on minor points. The whole show was from the assumption that it did take place, and the major point of controversy was whether he was resurrected in physical form or spiritual form. ABC, the new recruiter of the Christian Fundies. I'm still in shock from what I witnessed.

At least I'm not the only one:

1. I finally sat through the Wall Street Journal's programming on PBS

and was grossed out at that. It was amusing though to watch Paul Gigot speak as if he were addressing an eight year old. It is a good place, I discovered, to hear the WH message uninterrupted for the full program. No bothersome intrusion of reality, during the whole show!
You may be interested to learn that Galloways' breathtaking address to the Senate committee was "Tacky", and that the committee ought not to have allowed him to continue. That it was the patriotic duty of the senate to silence him and they failed to do it. On the plus side they did air Galloway's brief "Pack of Lies" bit, about the dead soldiers and dead civilians. So some little ray of light peered into the minds of those watching, or so I hope.

That there is a theater in Kentucky that will not show Jane Fonda's movie, and how patriotic it is of them.

My question is, how blatantly obvious does this sht*t have to get before people question it?

the more the average normal person will see and the harder the backlash will be when it comes.

remember the best thing about the repressed 50s and 60s was the party we got to have in the late 60s and 70s.

4. Theocracy Would Suit the Big Networks Just Fine
None of this trying to appeal to all those different markets, and
worrying about ratings, just run endless sequels to "The Passion
of the Christ" and have the theocracy MAKE everybody watch it.

5. How did the liberal Christians handle themselves? And were
they allowed to speak on religious pluralism or universalism at all?

The Christians will discuss among themselves for your viewing pleasure how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
