Global Boycott of Proctor and Gamble Saturday, May 21st
Edited on Fri May-20-05 05:19 PM by shockra
Global Day of Action Against Proctor & Gamble

Last year over 140 boycott P&G events took place all over the world - from Auckland to Aberdeen - making it one of the largest days of action of its kind in the world. P&G continues to test on animals when hundreds of other companies have stopped.

P&G still routinely poisons and kills thousands of animals every year. Its "pet" food subsidiary, IAMS/Eukanuba, continues to secretly vivisect and kill cats and dogs in "pet" food research tests not required by law.

Please speak up for the dogs, cats, mice and rats suffering each day at the hands of corporate giant P&G by taking part in this international day of action against P&G's cruel and unnecessary animal testing

Stage a supermarket or drugstore protest. P&G particularly dislikes leafleting, protests and stunts at supermarkets - they are the most effective activity in changing shopping habits by reaching consumers at the point of sale, when they are most thinking about what brands they might buy. A supermarket protest can be a large affair with banners, animal costumes and props - or it can be a one-person mission with a bagful of leaflets.

Another reason to boycott -- P&G is rated Light Red at www.buyblue.com!

1. It took me 2 years & incredible diligence to get P&G out of my house.
Just when I thought I had it all, opps, there's another frickin' P&G product!

2. I believe it.
So many things that I, or someone in my family commonly buy.

Aleve, Always, Bounce, Cascade, Charmin, Cheer, Coast, Comet, Crest, Crisco, Dawn, Duncan Hines, Folgers, Hires Root Beer, Ivory, Jif, Nice'N Easy, Nyquil, Oil of Olay, Pepto-Bismol, Pringles, Secret, Sunny Delight, Vicks.

And those are just the tip of their product iceberg. The good news is, enough people boycotting all of them can take a big chunk out of their profits.

5. Good luck, you will be surprised...
at all the crap you take for granted you never knew they made.
My daughter's cabinet's were empty! Everything from brushing your teeth to wiping your butt, they make it. Hope you don't have a baby and need Pampers, she did. The baby was allergic to all the other brands.

Good luck, check back and let us know how you did.:)
