My earliest recollections of him are tv appearances when he was much younger, where he would do his mimicry. He could change his face into just about anyone.

How weird is that? I just remember the extremely unique cast of characters, the odd camera angles, the self-mocking dialog, and good always triumphing over bad. And Gorshen fit in beautifully.
The guy who was black on the left side and white on the right side, pursuing -- hating -- the guy who was black on the right side and white on the left side. Or maybe I've got it backwards. But wasn't that the point?
