WH says Newsweek lowers USA in eyes of Muslims - HA!
How about it? Did we go from a 17% approval rating in Islamic nations (due to our illegal war in Iraq and the catastrophe we created there)to an 11 % approval rating because of the Newsweek article? Maybe. Why doesn't this Administration ever admit to their own failings? We are hated more now than ever before because of what this bush/junta have brought upon the world while lying about bringing freedom to the Middle East. How man Islamic citizens of other Muslim countries would trade what misery they have now for the violence and uncertainties of Iraq?

They always blame someone else for thier own made trouble
They are pathetic. They don't even realize they are the ones to blame.

8. I am quite sure they realize who is to blame,

but with this Newsweek incident they know they now have a handy scapegoat that they can use to shoulder at least some of the blame. Thanks in no small part to the toadies in the corporate media who will happily regurgitate Scotty's talking points that it's Newsweek's fault if Arabs and Muslims are rioting in the streets to express anger at the USA, while the facts that the USA used lies and cooked up, phony evidence to start an illegal war for corporate profit against a Muslim country leading to widespread civilian suffering, death and destruction and and an almost total breakdown of that country's infrastructure will not get mentioned at all.

12. Oh I'm sure they know it
You know they know it. They're just blaming Newsweek for their little fan base and to save their asses.

14. Oh I know, and what get's me is the fact that
that little fan base has such a big bark that it gets people to do stuff like this.

1. You know you're in trouble when
you aspire to the good old days of a 17% approval rating.

18. Who knew? Do they have Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes?
I mean, I had no idea that Newsweek was so widely viewed in Afganistan. Does the Sweepstake mini-van roll around Afganistan too?
Do they have the same trouble I have choosing between Newsweek and American Dollhouse Collector?

didn't ask the right people.

4. Pot, Kettle
Kettle, Pot.

How about a completely unprovoked invasion of another nation, the killing of probably over 100,000 innocent people, destroying that nation's infrastructure and the lives of everyone there? Doesn't that lower the USA in eyes of Muslims just a teeny tiny bit/

AAARRRGGGGG. Somebody get the duct tape for his trap and fix it so that imbecile war criminal can't speak out loud?

6. Why doesn't this Administration ever admit to their own failings?
Let me count the reasons...

1. there are no failings in their eyes.

2. they perceive admitting failure (should it dare have the gall to exist) a weakness.

3. blaming everyone else is much easier.

4. when acting in the name of God, you are never wrong.

lower their view of the US? I'm willing to bet the UK memo pissed them off at least as much as the Newsweek story! :eyes:

9. And the WH APPROVAL OF TORTURE, APPROVAL OF AGGRESSION,...
,...approval of lies and deception, approval of betrayal and manipulation, approval of oppression against all those who speak truth,....has absolutely nothing to do with an additional drop in approval by those upon whom they have wreaked nothing other than havoc and suffering and poverty and death.

Nope. Must be a squib in a short report by a magazine only popular in the USA.

Yup. That must be it. Must be.

Incredible. This administration asserts crap that not only defies all logic but also all common sense and intuition.

I believe this pack of inhumane predators have seriously underestimated people,...and completely overestimated their own power to oppress. A wise person once said that the gods make over-confident those men who must fall.

I grabbed this from CNN's front page before it disappears. Nice picture, eh? Any of you Photoshop experts care to comment?

Muslims in India get their message across.

(I am posting this picture / question in all Newsweek threads.)

15. Why would they want Newsweek banned?
Wouldn't they be happy that the truth about US tactics has been revealed?

This doesn't past the smell test ... especially since they're holding signs that look like they were printed at Kinko's! :eyes:

19. Wow. Newsweek wired up those prisoners and beat others to death?
Pretty fucking evil for a magazine!! And here I thought it was our troops and their superiors responsible for the torture, humiliation, and killing of people in Iraq. Silly me.

God.. those people can spin anything.
