Environmental Watch: EPA Abandons Rule on Lead Poisoning from Home Renovations

Henry Waxman’s Government Reform Minority Office sent out an email yesterday about the EPA abandoning the rules on lead paint safe renovations. Not a word of this is anywhere in the news…

Rep. Waxman, Sens. Barbara Boxer and Barack Obama, Reps. Edolphus Towns and Stephen Lynch wrote the Environmental Protection Agency today to protest the abandonment of regulations required by law to protect children from exposure to lead in renovated homes.

2. wow, this is radical. That will change alot for those who manage
housing authorities and the requirements to follow lead based paint programs that are currently being mandated ...
