If Iraq just needs peacekeepers at this point...
wouldn't that be a job for the UN or for NATO?

If the Propagandist hadn't pissed off the rest of the world and if the civilian PNAC fvcks running the Pentagon hadn't stifled realistic viewpoints, we might have been able to be out of Iraq now or at least planning major troop reductions.

that ? Bush said on Mar 16, 2005, that US troops will start leaving once Iraqis can defend themselves.

But during the summer Sen McCain said on CNN that the US would be in Iraq for 'ten, twenty years' :

And at the same time Bush is building 14 'permanent' bases in Iraq. What gives ?

4. UN peacekeepers are invited in by two sides in a conflict.
They would never go into a situation like this where an underground resistance is fighting an invader.
