3. A religious group is on cspan
Edited on Sat May-07-05 05:01 PM by SGBL
talking about how they are now going to oppose the religious fundamentalists and particularly work to protect the filibuster.

Group is called African American Ministers Leadership Council. (or could be African American Ministers in Action)

5. All of us have religion, not just the fundies.
Every Sunday on the Democracy Cell Project, we have a discussion in the blog about the convergence of religion and politics. We also have a thread in the forum for religious leaders or followers. This month we are reading God's Politics and discussing it in the forum and on the irc. Please spend time HERE at D.U. but also come join us there too.

We are a site that is more involved in grassroots and reaching out to everyone. We are the people who will REACH out to our neighbors or fellow church members and we need to be talking and reaching out to people NOW not in 2006.

Please join us too! htttp://www.democracycellproject.net

6. I gave a copy of "God's Politics" to my neighbor
We go to the same church (UMC). He's going to loan it to our youth minister, who is Lutheran.

Word is getting around.

15. Yes, it was a great book
And sometimes being an Athiest doesn't mean you don't believe in the fundamental ideas behind the biblical rules (the ten commandments or 'take care of the poor" or "turn the other cheek".

Talk about it at the democracy cell project.

There is a thread in the forum about the book and there is also chat in the irc too.

11. I'm so confuuuused
People keep telling me about the site. I want to post about it, but I don't *get* it. I don't know how to explain it in a nutshell, and I haven't yet found a self explanatory blurb that I could just post.

I just went on the site now and tried to find something about when on Sunday the book is being discussed, but somehow I'm missing it.

13. I can help you but you don't have a little pm head over here.
I think what you should do is come into the "live chat" and see if someone is there to help you. All you do is go to discuss, click the "live chat" a window will pop up, then you type in your nick and then hit enter. Then you click the "yes" validation tab. and voila...You're in!
Oh..you need java to use the irc, but in the forum is a link for getting that too.

Hope to see you there. We can help.

12. fundies are phonies..
at least the ones who support occupant bush and his fascist agenda..

A simple page of USSR history reveals that when the state has complete control{a bushevik goal] then all religion is stopped, persecuted ot state controlled..My wife grew up in USSR controlled country and was NEVER alowed to attend russian Orthodox church..Many churches were closed or turned into museums or only open to the elderly..All were watched by KGB.

Now if the fundamentalist christians want that ..they are definitley not Christains..

"Many will come in MY Name.."

BTW..Mr. Bush does not attend church weekly..thats his choice..

17. YEP! Still complicit with the crimes...
in my opinion...or at least are enablers...

History shows that the Germans knew of those death camps and did nothing and the fundies must know that occupant bush is not a christian when he executes over 100 in TX ..including Karla Tucker who was a born again {in jail} Christian..
bush laffed and mocked her plea for help then signed her death sentence.

In the long run..TREASON and this level of INJUSICE is still the same and the fundies are apart of the problem..but yes I do blame their leaders

but goly gee..
killing Arabs or Muslims for christ is just plane unChristian....

hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis ..many children ,elderly and women killed by UN sanctions begun by bush sr. continued during clinton and now more innocents slaughtered in this oil war for corporat profits
